These workshops are designed for people who have read "Overcoming Overeating" and/or "When Women Stop Hating Their Bodies" and are trying to implement the approach. Some people attend each session and others attend only when they have particular questions or feel in need of support.

OCTOBER 8TH – OCTOBER 10,TH 2010 FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8TH 5:30 - 7:30 PM SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9TH 9:30 AM -12:30PM and 5-7 PM SUNDAY, OCTOBER 10TH 9:30 AM-12:30 PM This workshop is designed for those women who have been working with the approach outlined in the books OVERCOMING OVEREATING and WHEN WOMEN STOP HATING THEIR BODIES and want to look more deeply at the process of developing their ability to hold themselves through difficult moments without needing to reach for food. In other words, we will focus on emotional hunger or mouth hunger and the development of the internal caretaker. FEE: BEFORE AUGUST 31ST, $360 AFTER AUGUST 31ST, $400 (Cancellations: If you need to cancel and someone wants your spot, full refund. If not, fee can be applied to a future workshop.) The Introductory Group: meets weekly for ten sessions. It familiarizes participants with the O.O. concepts of self-care and self-acceptance. Members learn to eat in response to physical hunger. Feeling calmer, members deal more effectively with life's stresses.
The Advanced Group: meets weekly for twenty sessions. This group explores the connections between overeating, self-esteem and out-of-balance relationships. Members learn skills to develop satisfying relationships.
The Follow Up Group: meets monthly. It reinforces O.O. concepts and skills. Members are able to live life more fully, freed from preoccupation with body hatred and dieting.
