These workshops are designed for people who have read "Overcoming Overeating" and/or "When Women Stop Hating Their Bodies" and are trying to implement the approach. Some people attend each session and others attend only when they have particular questions or feel in need of support.

At this workshop we will focus on those moments when you feel you might be able to think about your problem rather than eat about it if you knew how to hold yourself through it. Please keep track of all your mouth hunger experiences during the week prior to the workshop so that we can brainstorm about alternatives.

Join us for the next in an exciting, ongoing series of discussions about moving from demand feeding into more complex levels of emotional self-care. We will use your difficult moments of mouth hunger, as well as your bad body thoughts and fantasies of being thin, to identify your anxieties and explore ways to hold yourself through them.

We're here to help you learn the Overcoming Overeating approach so that you can end the preoccupation with food and weight. Our services include individual counseling, ongoing groups and workshops. The Introductory Group: meets weekly for ten sessions. It familiarizes participants with the O.O. concepts of self-care and self-acceptance. Members learn to eat in response to physical hunger. Feeling calmer, members deal more effectively with life's stresses.
The Advanced Group: meets weekly for twenty sessions. This group explores the connections between overeating, self-esteem and out-of-balance relationships. Members learn skills to develop satisfying relationships.
The Follow Up Group: meets monthly. It reinforces O.O. concepts and skills. Members are able to live life more fully, freed from preoccupation with body hatred and dieting.

12-week groups (Living Free in A World of Food):
Advanced groups: Drop in monthly group for those who have worked with the Overcoming Overeating model or a similar non-diet approach and want a place to check in and get support.
Individual Sessions: Break the cycle of compulsive eating and bad body fever through private sessions.
Training and Consultations: For schools, business, human service agencies, community organizations and parent groups.
